Tener que repetir los mismos diseño siempre le a parecido una perdida de tiempo.
La misión era sencilla, inventar una manera de hacer tablas mas duras, mas ligeras y mas veloces, con la posibilidad de reproducir una tabla tantas veces como sea, permitiendo a los shaper siguiendo diseñando nuevos shapes.
Utilizando nuevos materiales, y nuevas técnicas de producciones, Tuflite tecnología había nacido. Pero como paso con « del Balsa al poliéster revolución » de los 60, los retractores estaban ahí, » es demasiado ligero, flota mucho, y nunca saldrá ! »
En todos los casos, en los últimos 10 años, las lista de los mejores shaper mundiales a unirse a la tecnología Tuflite ha ido incrementando, hasta tal punto que algunos tienen un quiver completo disponible en Tuflite.
Randy French, the founder of Surftech, has been at the forefront of pushing surfboard design for over thirty years and has never relented in his quest for the next generation of surfboard manufacturing technology.
Quite simply, Randy is a designer and saw futility in trying to replicate the same shape again and again.
The mission was simple – invent a way to make surfboards stronger, lighter and faster with the ability to reproduce a precise shape over and over allowing shapers to spend more time designing new shapes.
By utilizing new materials and new production processes, Tuflite technology was born. Ironically, like with the “Balsa to Polyester Revolution” of the 60’s, the naysayers were again out in droves – “it’s too light, buoyant and it will never catch on”.
However, in the past decade, the list of the world’s best shapers that have embraced Tuflite technology continues to grow to the point where most top shapers have entire quivers available in Tuflite models. Tuflite – rewarding the shapers who created the culture we live and love.
